Shibaosan or Shibaoshan

(help with spelling please)

Shibaosan or Shibaoshan is a park with a series of temples located just a few minutes away from Shaxi.

It is one of Buddhist's Jewels of China. Chinese call it the Jewel of the South. (There is a whole legend and story to tell about it here. I need to add).

For centuries, Shaxi was a major spot on the famous Tea Route.

Shibaoshan was one of Buddhist gateways into China. Its historical importance is yet to be fully discovered and understood. Well, I am trying to say that I need help in telling this better....

My friend Yunxin Wu looking up into the statues.

The beautiful waterfall that bathes the many temples incrusted in the rock.

Another nice picture.

There are many temples in this great Park.

This is on the other side of the mountain (inside Shaxi Valley).

My friend Yunxin meditating. Well, posing... It is hard to meditate with me yelling or helping someone like me.

I must write the story of the monkeys and the squirrels....
